My training philosophy is to do no harm and to always use methods that are fear free, force free, and pain free. This leads to the strongest bond possible between you and your dog ❤️🐾🐾. I will never recommend the use of shock collars, prong collars or choke collars, or any other kinds of punishment tools or techniques that use fear and force to control or change behavior. That is inhumane, inhibits learning, compromises your relationship and inevitably leads to a dog who either becomes aggressive over time or completely shuts down. Why would anyone want to do that, when there is a humane way to train with no behavioral side effects?

​About me

I am a certified dog trainer, CPDT-KA and a Fear Free Certified Professional, FFCP with several years of training experience in private and group settings. I began this journey volunteering at an animal shelter 10 years ago, and eventually became a full-time employee on the animal behavior team which then led me to becoming a dog trainer. As a result of my shelter background,

I'm a more well-rounded, insightful and empathic trainer.

Whether you need training help with your new puppy, adolescent, adult or senior dog, I will design a plan specifically for you and your dog's needs. Every dog is different, so I find it much more effective to focus on one household at a time.  I will show you how to develop the strongest bond possible with your dog which inevitably leads to the best behavior!
This is me with my four shelter rescue dogs, who are my pride and joy, and also help me keep my skills fresh.
